More than 400 RoK4 pumping station screens sold worldwide
Frequently, pumping or lifting stations can significantly improve the economy of dewatering systems as they collect individual inflows and deliver them to a central treatment plant. Alternatively, these plants are used where wastewater needs to be lifted to a higher level so that it can be passed further on by gravity.
However, the solids contained within the wastewater often lead to undesired side effects, such as clogging of delivery units or built-in components in the sump shaft. HUBER developed therefore already many years ago the meanwhile well-proven and patented RoK4 pumping stations screen of which more than 400 units have been sold worldwide. The screen protects delivery units and guarantees the trouble-free operation of the pumping stations.
A completely new sort of application of the screen was requested in an inquiry received from Raunecker engineers who were commissioned to do the planning for the replacement of a climber screen on WWTP Reischach. The more than 20 years old screen should actually be replaced by a new climber screen. The installation conditions specified a channel width of 500 mm, 6 mm bar spacing and an inflow limit of 16 l/sec. In the pre-planning stage HUBER submitted to Raunecker several proposals for different well-proven inlet screens including the according peripheral equipment. The specifications of the following tender could be met with the conventional solution but also with an alternative proposal. HUBER offered as an alternative its ROTAMAT® Pumping Stations Screen RoK4, which is optimally suitable for this specific application. The RoK4 screen with its 6 mm perforated plate offers high separation efficiency and in addition an integrated screenings press with automatic press zone washing. All these features are combined in one machine so that the space requirements on site are accordingly reduced.
